The Republican National Committee is beefing up its tech staff, seeking applicants to become the digital marketing director and an engineering project manager. The sort of people the RNC are looking for are those who truly get the possibilities in digital media, and those who know how to get results out of large amounts of information. President Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee are going to back up dump trucks full of cash to staff and run high-level digital operations. The GOP needs to keep pace with and surpass that effort. Let’s get the party the best people possible.
DIGITAL MEDIA DIRECTOR
The Digital Marketing Director will oversee all RNC digital marketing, manage an in-house digital team and work closely with other division heads to maximize their efforts online. Applicants interested in applying for this position should be innovative, eager and aggressive and have previous experience as a Digital Director for a campaign or organization or should have overseen/managed a Digital team in their career.
Individuals must be creative and display a deep understanding of how digital strategies and technologies integrate into political, communications and finance plans. Experience as a campaign manager or communications director is a plus.
Specific responsibilities include:
Developing a new digital strategy for the Party
Managing GOP.com and all RNC web properties
Fostering engagement on and maintaining Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
Developing an Online Fundraising Strategy with the Finance Division
Managing an Email Marketing program
Creating content for Digital Media (YouTube, etc.)
Developing and managing Online Advertising for the Party

ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER
The Engineering Project Manager will oversee custom application development for all facets of the organization. Applicants should have an engineering background with significant project management experience. Applicants should have experience in .NET and other MS tools and technologies, familiarity with CRM and CMS systems, as well as experience with very large databases. Individuals must be able to evaluate off-the-shelf solutions, manage multiple simultaneous engineering projects, and be comfortable interfacing with users and developers. Prior experience within a campaign, political organization, or vendor servicing such organizations is a plus.
Specific responsibilities include:
Identification of organization-wide core technologies and standards
Development of project requirements and technical specifications
Development and execution of project plans and timelines
Evaluation of existing technologies and solutions
Hiring and management of external development teams
