Study Abroad In Morocco
DC Internationals Middle East South Asia Language Institute(MESALI) is
leading a study abroad during Fall 2011. The six and eight week
programs will occur in October through December, with possible
extentions. Students can choose to spend the Fall studying Modern
Standard Arabic, Moroccan dialect, and or French in the old-walled
city of Rabat; the beautiful Moroccan capital overlooking the Atlantic
Ocean.

To maximize linguistic exposure and avoid temptation to speak English with
American classmates, all students will live separately and will have
the exceptional experience of living with a Moroccan family, enabling
you to practice your language of choice with new adoptive family
members over cous-cous, Moroccan tea, or while watching Moroccan
television. The program will provide homecooked daily Moroccan meals,
including cous-cous, Tajeen, and beyond.

This Fall program will include optional travel excursions and
sight-seeing. Some possible experiences include:

--walking the cobble stone streets of the ancient cities of Fes and Meknes,

--Tasting the foods and loving the bazar of Jama Al-Fana in Marrakesh,

--Hiking with Berbers across the Middle Atlas mountains,

--Traveling across the Moroccan Sahara on camelback, or

--Participating in the Ganowin music festival of Aswara.

Classes are conducted in a Western formal classroom environment.
Instructors are at least tri-lingual, including , Modern Standard
Arabic, Moroccan dialect, French, and English. The school can
facilitate all language levels. The extensively experienced Moroccan
language trainers all have advanced degrees and have taught languages
for many years, and in some cases for decades.

For more information and or to enroll, please write
ross@dcinternationals.com. Enroll early to secure a spot because space
is limited and all spots will fill up.
