Scheduler – Conservative Republican Member seeks a detail oriented, highly organized and self-motivated individual as a Scheduler. Candidate will prepare the daily schedule for the Member, and prepare detailed itineraries, including important numbers, locations and contact names; assist in preparing monthly projected schedules; brief the Member and other relevant staff on all scheduling activities and requests of the Washington, DC, and district offices; coordinate Congressman's travel, ground and air transportation, and lodging; respond to all invitations, either by written correspondence or by personal telephone call. Candidate will assist Member with executive assistant duties as requested. Candidate will also assist with coordinating staff travel, office management duties, and management of intern projects, as requested. Candidate will work well under pressure. Ideal candidate should have strong telephone skills and strong oral and written communication skills. Candidate must have a flexible schedule as job includes long hours, nights, and weekends and other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree is required with experience as a congressional scheduler or executive assistant in the private sector preferred. Salary commensurate with experience. Communications Director – Congressman Bill Johnson (R-OH) seeks aggressive communications director or assistant communications director with superior organizational and writing skills. Candidate must be well versed in social media and able to execute a local and national media plan. Successful candidate will have a record of being a team player, experience in working with reporters and the ability to increase Member's multi-media profile through promoting his goals and objectives. Internships – The office of Congressman Randy Hultgren (IL-14) is seeking fulltime or nearly fulltime interns for the 2011 fall term (September-December) in Washington, D.C. Responsibilities include answering phones, organizing, distributing, and inputting mail, providing tours of the Capitol, and assisting legislative staff in research and writing projects.
