Executive Director job opening

The Wyoming Democratic Party is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Executive Director. The Executive Director reports to the State Chairman and works closely with the Party leadership to manage the day-to-day operations of the Party statewide

Key qualifications: . Above all we’re after talent and smarts (including social smarts) and drive, initiative, and dedication. Key in addition will be knowledge of grass-roots politics and a long-term outlook—genuine interest in the challenge over several electoral cycles of ‘turning’ a now red state and of connecting with an electorate drawn almost entirely from a demographic that Democrats should attract but haven’t been attracting.

Management skills
Knowledge of Wyoming or of the mountain West or of similar areas

Salary: Commensurate with skill and experience, most likely between $45 and $55 thousand. A small health insurance stipend may be provided.

Specific responsibilities::
Recruit, train, and manage state party staff and volunteers

Staff the State Chair at party events, including advance preparation of agendas, talking points, etc.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

An internship with the Connolly Campaign allows students to get an up close look at the electoral process. Interns gain experience in the field of campaign finance and learn how a successful campaign operates.
