Hold responsibility for calendar management, arranging appointments, and conference calls
Perform general administrative duties such as ordering department supplies and equipment; maintaining supply area, handling photocopying, faxing, drafting memos, forms, reports and general correspondence
Prepare department check requests and expense reports, and tracking on-going expenses against budget to ensure correct accounts have been charged
Open, sort and prioritize incoming mail and email, handling distribution of reports and other outgoing correspondence
Act as confidential assistant in support of manager, while demonstrating considerable judgment, tact, creativity and initiative in these duties
Requirements
High School education, some college
3-5 years of work experience
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio
Strong oral and written communication skills
Task oriented with excellent sense of priority and ability to manage multiple tasks; flexibility, independence and a high degree of initiative
Previous scheduling experience required. Knowledge of Capitol Hill is preferred
