Begin Blue is a 527 non-profit organization dedicated to intensive training
and placement for young Democrats interested in getting involved on
campaigns. In particular we see this kind of human investment as a way in
which Vermont can help become the demonstration state for young people
across the country, by providing a progressive environment in which to
experience political campaigns. By running a week long full immersion
program at Champlain College in June, and then placing people in campaigns
in Virginia and New Jersey, we hope to have a pilot year under our belt in

Position
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will have

Interns in our office perform legislative and administrative work in Congress while gaining valuable career and educational experience. Specific duties include providing constituent services, attending legislative briefings and committee hearings, performing legislative research, special projects of interest, and, most importantly, learning about the inner workings of the House.
